Long overdue

So I realize that it has been quite some time since my last post... I apologize. Ok so time has really been flying for me, less than one month and I'll be back home. Some updates on what we have been doing. After finally getting the van and the car both fixed after a seriously unfortunate series of events putting them both out of commission for almost a week. We have been going back into the villages and meeting with families of need (mostly families with HIV/AIDs within the family) and we sit and share some scripture with them, fellowship, and if need be we give them either food parcels that consist of posho, salt, sugar, soap, and some christian reading material in Ankole, which is the language in the south western uganda area. days that i do not spend out in the village i spend in the ISS clinic counting, breaking, and packing medication for the patients, this clinic is also for AIDs and TB patients. I also register patients and soon will be doing some other things around the clinic as soon as they find some open positions.
Thank you all for contributing to the package that has been sent to us, although we have not recieved it yet we are looking forward to... also... Enoch had arranged for another pig project to start up in another village but as he went to find the man who was going to donate the funds for the money the man told him that he no longer could do so... so I volunteered the funds... you guys have purchased 8 pigs to start a project in which these villages are able to bring in some money... we give pigs to villages and divide the village members into teams to take care of each pig, the supply the pen and the food, and when the pig is grown they will be able to sell meat. for those that dont know pork is very expensive here and is a great way of income, and the pigs only cost around 11 dollars U.S each so it is a great deal. so these are some things that we have been working on over the past few weeks.
now some non-work related news, Sunday June 28th we were all woke up by the sound of gun shots right outside our house, to find out that a man had got into Enochs car and had stolen the radio and the battery. While in the process the neighborhood guards had caught the guy and shot him in the leg twice. now the process that follows a theifs capture is not one that i was pleased to witness. As the guards questioned him the beat him with canes and their guns, at one point i thought for sure i was going to see them kill this man... now this man sat out on our front lawn for around 4 hours with two bleeding gunshots while waiting for the actual police to arrive.
it has been quite a while since then and things seem to be going smoothly for once but we would still appreciate your prays because it seems that every time we sit down to relax something happens. Also Enoch had just gotten a puppy the other day, and i'm finding it very difficult not to spoil it! :D
Once again, thank you all for all of your support and prayers and I will be seeing you all very soon!
